Foundation Facts
Baylor Health Care System Foundation, a separately incorporated not-for-profit organization, raises and manages charitable funds to support Baylor Health Care System.
In the past five years alone, the Foundation has distributed $110 million to Baylor in the key areas of research, patient care, education and capital. It has distributed more than $397 million since it was created.
Support comes from more than 10,000 active donors, including individuals, corporations and other private foundations.

These immortal words, often quoted as the creation of Baylor Health Care System, were delivered by a celebrity speaker after dinner at a fundraising event in 1903. Rev. George Truett not only delivered these carefully crafted words, but also encouraged one attendee - Colonel C.C. Slaughter - to be the first, transformational donor to support the vision of Baylor Health Care System.
The Foundation carries this tradition today by hosting similar events to inspire the transformational gift that will affect generations to come.
